Walnut’s deep, chocolate-brown grain does not need height or scale to make an impression — it just needs light close enough to catch it. The Pygmy Square takes that grain and sets it into a low, compact square block, hand-sanded through progressive grits and finished to a smooth, tactile surface, designed as a compact smaller-format lamp base that keeps the light close to the timber without overwhelming the surface beneath it. It is a considered smaller-format piece for anyone who wants the same walnut character as the Large and Medium pieces, without the same footprint.
